About us: Resolution Games is a Stockholm-based studio making immersive experiences for all. We focus passionately on visual computing, making social games with creative flair, innovative design and technical excellence.
About the role: As a growing studio, we have an increasing need for server-side code. Right now we are implementing systems for tracking and analytics, cross-promotion and automated builds. You will be an important part of this and other future technologies we develop. Future games are likely to require extensive server logic to handle permanent player states and interactions. We use a mix of standard components and custom code, so you should be confident with both. You may have worked with games before, but you will fit just as well if you have worked with other server-side systems, for example in web development.
About you: You’re dedicated and meticulous, with a love for details. You have a great deal of personal creativity, are able to take the initiative and be accountable for your actions. As a consummate professional, you work well with different team members and are keen to be part of a family. For this particular role, a background in gaming is not necessary - but we’d love it if you were passionate about the industry. Finally, we are an equal opportunity employer and encourage applications from diverse backgrounds.
Your skills: You should be proficient in several (if not all!) of the things below:
Programming in a professional setting
Python (and possibly other programming languages for server-side development)
Linux server administration
Google Cloud (or other IaaS)
Elasticsearch (or other database management systems)
It's a plus if you also know about:
TCP, UDP, WebRTC, and other network protocols
We’re only starting our journey into the server-side, so none of these technologies are set in stone. We would like you to be part of evaluating what we are going to use!
Take the chance and join us at our office located in the Stockholm city center. We offer a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the early phase of VR/AR and visual computing.
So, come on and join us!
